Like Before : Happy Teachers' Valentine Day !

As many Alumni clearly recalled Valentines Day was celebrated as Teacher's Day - a Special Day to show appreciation and love for the Heroic Role that Teachers played in the Life of Students and their Lifeblood Role they endure in upholding the objectives of San Ildefonso College. This was recalled by Laarni (HS79) in reponse to mcsicaa's (HS70) post reminding all to book Vlentine Roses early.

Ellen (HS65) confirmed Laarni's recall : "Yes, we had that and usually held on valentine's day. we Had mass, followed by pass in review and short program. Lunch in Tabing Dagat restaurant followed provided By the administration. I just couldn't remember if it was joint effort of the college and high school students council.that during her time in SIC "

Laarni added "We made sure that All our teachers received flowers and cards from us- male or female. Like Auntie Ellen said, there was the mass, the pass-in-review, the program and the carnival like atmosphere. There was a dedication booth, where students paid 25c for 2 songs--- songs like Boyfriends' "Dahil Mahal Kita" VST's "Ikaw ang aking Mahal" atbp. We also had the roses and lollipops booth . We also had custom cards created by Mary Eve(if I am not mistaken, Agnes was involved in this too). Hulaan nyo kung sino ang pasimuno? I won't tell!! That was our way of honoring our teachers and celebrating Valentine's Day. We were also able to raise funds that were used for retreats and recollections."

Because it is innate for Crusaders to protect and uphold tradition and because as Ildefonsians our Vision is Love* Above All, (*God is Love)the sicaa_comm is taking initiative for SICAA to give a Valentine Card or a Flower to each and every Teacher and Administrator of San Ildefonso College on the eve of Teachers' Valentines Day (because February 14th falls on a Saturday). This is a small token in preparation for the upcoming SICAA Diamond Awards to ALL SIC Teachers and to SIC as a Pioneering Teachers' School. Meanwhile please keep sending the list of teachers you can recall so that we don't miss anyone in the forthcoming Diamond Awards ! Thank you all !
